red dirt + California sky
Hailing from San Diego, California and North Carolina, Southern Call is an Americana and country duo that brings together the sounds of the desert and red dirt vibes. Their musical journey began when they both moved to Nashville in 2015 to pursue their dreams and they formed their duo in 2017. Since then, Southern Call has been captivating audiences with their unique blend of rootsy instrumentation, soaring harmonies and heartfelt songwriting.
Cierra Louise Trainor and Sean Trainor, the two halves of Southern Call, have been making music together for years. They share a deep love of traditional country, rock and folk music and they have honed their craft through countless gigs, performances and collaborations. When they moved to Nashville, they quickly found a home in the vibrant music scene, and they began building their reputation as a duo to watch.
One of the keys to Southern Call's success has been their commitment to their music. They've built a whole studio at their house, allowing them to record their music on their own terms. This has given them the freedom to experiment with different sounds and styles and it's helped them develop a unique voice in the world of Americana and country music.
Southern Call has also had placements in film and TV, which has helped them build a following beyond the country music scene. Their music has been featured in a variety of projects including commercials, documentaries and indie films. Whether on stage or in the studio, Southern Call is a duo that is dedicated to their craft and passionate about their music.
Southern Call recently released their debut album, Pioneertown, in August of 2023. The album is a stunning showcase of the duo's talents, with a mix of meaningful ballads, upbeat anthems and everything in between. With their signature desert and red dirt vibe, Southern Call’s goal is to leave a lasting impression on listeners.
